Glads go International! (updated 24 July 2006)
Hello dear readers! Gladys Billie-Jean here. While we wait for Gladys Anorak to turn the cogs of the Hackney Gazette printing press we thought we'd let you know what the more travellicious Gladyses are up to in the International Gladys world. We have many of the same faces with some new exotic locations, and have acquired some excellent new Intl additions. Grrrrrreetings Glad fans. New Era time in Gladville. We are metamorphosing into a five a side team playing in the Tottenham Power League on Wednesday evenings, starting 27 July (yikes better put that bun down and get running Gladys!) We are hoping it's easier on the knees and not all of us have to give up smoking to do it. Also we might get a full squad out once in a while and we at Gladys Central won't have to be told to cut out the jokes about certain peoples shin pads and their earthy stinks in case it damages our recruitment programme. Talking of which Gladys Lightbody will be gradually wafting down to the West Country in the near future and we would like to er, clear the air before she goes (gasp, we really would). We would like to set on record that Gl Lightbody is a fabulous Gladys, a great player and a true friend. Don't let her wash your whites, do hope that she is around to play some Power League...

So website wise we are leaving everything as it is for now. There won't be any training info because we haven't made any plans for training (we are too good already). Gradually we will aim to put the old bits in their place (I can see you sneaking out Gladys Terminator) and update the squad etc when we know exactly who the squad is...Match reports on the new 5 -a-side league will be as regular as Gillian McKeith's bowels, if not as squeaky clean. So hurry back soon after the 27 July y'all! In the meantime remember, we might be an over the hill, out of shape bunch of cackling deviants but we're not afraid!
